About Dr. Emara

Dr. Barry Emara was past Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor, Ontario, a position he helf from 2004 to 2011.

Dr. Emara has been practicing in Windsor for more than 10 years and has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and Lasik procedures.

Dr. Emara received his Doctor of Medicine and completed his Ophthalmology residency from the University of Western Ontario. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is also Board Certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Emara is a member of such societies as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Canadian Ophthalmological Society, and Canadian and Ontario Medical Associations.
